Our explosive detector can detect explosives on luggage, vehicles, container, various closed compartments, hands, clothes or even documents.

How Does IT Work?

The PILOT-M1 is an Explosive Vapor Detector (EVD) that works by air suction .
It collects air samples and analyzes them looking for either trace particles or vapors.

MAGUS M1 is capable to detect traces of explosives based on TNT, RDX, as well as mixed substances, plastic & elastic compounds like Semtex, C-Type, etc.

What is the “Sample Heater”?

To increase detection sensitivity

  • Equipped with a “Sample Heater” with folding stand that increases detector sensitivity and leads to more accurate detection
  • To connect to the provided “Sample Heater”:
  • Insert the metallic sampler into it.
  • Activate the EVD unit and wait for the alarm in case of explosive residue detection.

Detection unit

  • Air-exhauster creates a tornado kind whirlwind for effective explosives vapor and residue suction from an object surface and its inner room via existing slits and cracks
  • The obtained analysis data is processed by a built-in CPU in less than 1 second and displayed on the unit’s LCD, and an alarm is generated in case of suspect detection.
  • Sampler unit together with additional heater joint use expands the device system detection ability
  • Minimization of environment influence on detection process (humidity, low and high temperature) is achieved
  • Sample collection in a dusty and/or smoky environment is available (when a direct usage of the main unit is not recommended)
  • Simultaneous sample collection in various places is possible with their detailed analysis in the sequel using the “Filter Swab Collector” units.
