Scope

This policy applies to all staff (permanent, seconded or temporary) of Zod Security as well as all people who work on behalf of Zod Security.

Concerns

There are many ethical concerns surrounding business. These range from environmental issues, labor practices, and human rights violations. In order to address these concerns, we need to understand what they are and how they affect our business. We believe that the highest standards of integrity should be maintained at all times. Our Code of ethics outlines how we expect our members to behave while working.

Human Rights

Zod Security acknowledges and expects its employees and stakeholders to comply with, support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights.

Environment

Environmental issues are often overlooked. However, they have a significant effect on the sustainability of any business. There are several ways that we can improve our environmental footprint. We should always strive to use renewable energy sources, recycle, and minimize waste production.

We take a precautionary approach to environmental challenges. When possible and applicable, we undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-Corruption

Our staff should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery. All employees are expected to report any suspicious activity they observe or suspect. Employees should promptly notify their supervisor if they believe they are being asked to participate in corrupt activities.

Responsibilities

Employees shall:

  • Comply with applicable laws in the performance of their duties.
  • Report and disclose in a manner to promote and safeguard Zod interest and enable the receiver of the information to act upon it properly.
  • Perform their duties in full compliance with quality management systems.
  • This covers compliance to policies, procedures and processes on the execution of operations efficiently and the safeguard of Zod Security’s assets.
  • Access Zod’s computers and internet for professional purposes and in a secure manner. The governing principle is the professional, legal, ethical and secure use.
  • Endeavor to protect the personal data of individuals acquired while conducting business. This covers personal data from consumers, suppliers, clients, employees, applicants, and others.

Records

Books and records shall be accurate, up-to-date and complete. No deliberately inaccurate information is permitted, otherwise may expose authors to sanctions. This applies to employee forms, operations, financials, filings, publications and any documents containing information about Zod Security.

Ethical Behavior

Nothing in the behavior, policies, procedures or any aspect of Zod shall be interpreted as an exception to the principle of prohibition of discrimination, harassment and violence.

Any incident involving discrimination, harassment or violence shall be reported. Corrective measures shall be taken and non-retaliation shall be ensured.

Zod shall not allow any employee to treat others rudely or engage in behavior bespeaking disrespect.

Health and Environment Safety

Hygienic conditions and practices help maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases.

Zod shall not be lenient with any employee proven to abuse alcohol or drugs in a way that may affect his performance or the reputation of Zod.

Product and systems’ safety is a top priority, and shall meet or exceed laws and regulations on safety requirements.

Our employees shall abide by safety standards at all time and on all sites.

Zod endeavors to create a healthy and safe environment for its employees. No reason justifies disregarding practices ensuring the safety of employees, even emergency operational needs.

Zod works continuously on enhancing the quality of the environment by abiding to related laws and standards.

Company Procedures

Interviews shall be conducted professionally and suitably.

Bribery is strictly forbidden, refer to Zod Security’s Anti-Corruption Policy.

Zod prohibits all illegal payments to civil servants/Politically Exposed Persons/Political Parties, direct or indirect, in cash or any other form of valuables, made for profit, facilitation, favors, and others.

Money Laundering and Distribution Line Deviation are prohibited by Zod.

Zod does not discriminate clients based on the size or type of their transactions with or the business channel or strategy.

Zod allows suppliers to compete for its business based on the overall value offered by the supplier.

Zod does not make contributions of any type to politically exposed persons.

Confidentiality

Employees commit to safeguarding the confidentiality of all information of a sensitive nature. It is understood that by sensitive nature, information the disclosure of which may materially expose the company to risks of any type, notably financial, strategic and reputational. Confidentiality of information survives the employment until public disclosure by the Employer of said information.

Zod shall not pressure employees to disclose confidential information they possess from previous employment.

Conflict of Interest

Employees represent and warrant that they have no business, professional, personal, or other interest, including, but not limited to, the representation of other clients, that would conflict in any manner with the performance of their obligations with the Group.

Awareness

This Policy is accessible to all employees. All staff should be made aware of the basic code of Ethics and Business Conduct according to their role. Employees are expected to review this policy and abide by its principles.

Monitoring

The Operations Director will be responsible for monitoring this policy.

This policy will be reviewed annually.
