Product Description

Firetrace systems We offer FM-200 Fire Suppression Systems, a color-free clean agent used to extinguish fires and protect your facility.

Firetrace systems can be installed in virtually any enclosed space where an increased risk of fire could be mitigated by an automatic fire suppression system. Firetrace features several engineered system product lines to serve markets around the world. Firetrace engineered systems feature FM-200®and also Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection agents.

Types of systems:

Direct Release: Direct release systems detect fires using flexible Firetrace detection tubing. They suppress fires by releasing suppression agent directly through the tubing.

Indirect Release: Indirect release systems detect fires using flexible Firetrace detection tubing. They suppress fires by delivering suppression agent through hoses and nozzles.

High Pressure: High pressure systems detect fires using flexible Firetrace detection tubing. They suppress fires by delivering CO2 at high pressure through hoses and nozzles.

How it works

1 – Detect

Firetrace systems do not require electronic fire detectors. Instead, the system detects fires using specially designed tubing. The tubing is made of a flexible polymer that can be installed anywhere a fire might start. Firetrace tubing can detect both heat and flames. When it detects either, then it bursts open, activating the system.

2- Activate

When the detection tubing bursts, there is a pressure change in the system. This activates a valve, which releases gas or powder stored in the cylinder. Unlike fire extinguishers, Firetrace systems do not require manual operation. However, systems can be manually operated by pushing a button called the manual release.

3- Suppress

Firetrace systems contain specialized gas or powder, designed for putting out fires. These are called suppression agents. Suppression agents put out fires by eliminating heat or oxygen or by disrupting chemical reactions. When the system activates, the agent travels from the cylinder to the protected space, either directly through the detection tube or through connected hoses and nozzles.

Advantages

  • Rapid Detection: Detects fires right at their source
  • Safe for Equipment: Clean agents leave no residue
  • No False Alarms: Ideal for harsh or dusty environments
  • Auto Suppression: No human intervention required
  • Fast Installation: Get complete protection in just a few hours
  • Self Contained: Independent of power, water, and electricity

Applications

  • Manufacturing and machining
  • Airport
  • Wind Turbines
  • Electrical Panels
  • Vehicles
  • Data Centers
  • Military Protection

FM-200™, also commonly known as HFC-227ea, is a clean agent fire suppressant for Class A, B, and C fires and meets NFPA Standard 2001 Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems. Clean agents are fast and effective in suppressing fires, are safe in occupied spaces, and do not leave a residue.
