Fire Fighting Systems come in all sizes

How to be protected from the risk of fire? The basics being the portable extinguisher, the fire blanket, the standalone smoke and gas detectors, and also the fire doors. Fire fighting systems are also available, each has a specific usage: a fire alarm would detect and inform about a fire, total flooding systems like FM200, FirePro, Co2, water sprinklers … to name a few would automatically extinguish a fire.

A – Let’s starts with the basics, manual equipment

A1- Extinguishers

Zod security has a Complete and Dedicated Extinguishers Department, specific team of engineers, experts and technicians, and a workshop dedicated for the maintenance and refill of extinguishers. Our extinguishers conform to European standards EN 3.

We will survey your property and propose the right amount and the correct kind of extinguishers, deliver and install them for you, along with a full Emergency Signs and Evacuation Plans if required. Should you require advice as to where to place your extinguishers, or which type to purchase, our proficient advisors would provide adequate support.

Zod Security provides fire fighting and safety equipment for Lebanon; including, but not limited to fire extinguishers, Fire Trainings like “How to Use an Extinguisher” and “What to Do in Case of a Fire” are also available for institutions upon demand. Do not hesitate to contact us with your requests, our team is here to help.

A2- Zod also supplies equipment like Hose Reels and Cabinets, Fire hydrants, Valves and Risers.

A3- Fire Doors

Zod also supplies and installs Fire Doors.

1- They are not manual equipment rather than passive fire protection equipment.

2- Need to include fire alarm.

3- Can add the water mist section

4- Can include the sprinkler system (pumps, pipes, control valves, sprinkler heads, etc…)

B – Automatic Extinguishing Systems, also called Total Flooding Systems

Total flooding suppression systems detect fires at their source, then automatically suppress them using specialized agents. These agent can be Co2, Firepro, FM200, or even water!

B1 – FM-200™ Fire Suppression Systems

What is FM-200™ clean agent?

  • Designed for simple installation, often very near the source of a potential fire
  • Firetrace systems can be installed in virtually any enclosed space where an increased risk of fire could be mitigated by an automatic fire suppression system.
  • Firetrace features several engineered system product lines to serve markets around the world. Firetrace engineered systems feature FM-200®and also Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection agents.

FM-200™, is a clean agent fire suppressant for Class A, B, and C fires. Clean agents are fast and effective in suppressing fires, are safe in occupied spaces, and do not leave a residue.

B2 – AEROSOL Fire Extinguishing System

How does FirePro Aerosol System work?

  • NO Suffocation method (depletion of oxygen levels in air below 15% at normal pressures extinguishes fire)
  • NO Cooling method (heat absorption)
  • NO Removal of fuel
  • NO side effects
  • 100% safe on human & machinery!
  • FIREPRO® aerosol on the other hand, extinguishes fire by inhibiting the chain chemical reactions present in combustion on a molecular level.
  • It removes the flame free radicals and extinguishes fire without depleting oxygen.
Small inclosure application (for an electric cabinet)

FirePro Aerosol System advantages:

  • Low Maintenance
  • 5 Years Guaranty
  • 15 Years Shelf Live

B3 – High Pressure CO2 System

  • CO2 is a colorless, dry and inert gas
  • Vaporizes after extinguishing a fire and leaves no residue
  • Non-conductive to electricity and electronic equipment
  • Cost effective: Readily available standard gas
  • The extinguishing process is achieved by displacement of oxygen so that atmosphere is incapable of supporting combustion
  • Typical applications: electrical and engine rooms, flammable liquid storages…
  • CO2 can be used as total flooding application or local application
  • The quantity of CO2 gas is calculated from the area/volume of the hazard and the duration of the discharge
  • NFPA12 recommends 50% concentration of CO2 gas, calculated using a concentration of 1.33kg/m3
  • Flow calculation to be provided with each system to ensure correct pipe sizing and discharge time
